By joining the GLOBAL CC, you have agreed to this policy; and you understand that being found in breach of this policy could result with disciplinary action up to, and including, permanent removal from the Global Convoy Control team.
All information which you have access to because of your position within Convoy Control should be considered confidential and therefore not shared outside the Convoy Control team. This includes, but is not limited to; Discord channels, documents, meeting minutes/agendas, information passed to you by management or supervisors, information discussed with management or supervisors, and progress on inhouse projects.
Discord discussion channels and sheets open to you as part of your Convoy Control role must not be used while streaming or recording unless pre-arranged with a Convoy Control Manager.
If a user is requesting information which is confidential and they have given a reason as to why it should be public, you should file an 'Information Release Request'. The request will then be addressed by a Convoy Control Manager who will either;
  • a) Deny the request with a reason (which should be passed to the user), or
  • b) Accept the request with limitations of level of detail, or
  • c) Accept the request.
  • If you notice that a Convoy Control member is violating, or possibly violating, this policy; we urge you to contact a Convoy Control Manager as soon as possible.
    When discussing confidential information, you must only use official channels or 1-to-1 discussion methods such as Discord Direct Messages; this is because this is the only way to ensure no Convoy Control members are in the conversation. If you use 1-to-1 discussion methods with a fellow Convoy Control member, bear in mind any decisions or similar made in such a conversation come under this policy and should be conveyed to a Convoy Control manager.
    If you wish to criticise the actions of another user and/or group in a public channel (which should be kept to a minimum), please use qualifiers such as "In my opinion", "imo", "personally" or similar to clarify that those views are your own views and do not necessarily represent the views of GLOBAL CC or other staff members within GLOBAL CC.
    GLOBAL CC MEMBER will perform services for GLOBAL CC which may require GLOBAL CC to disclose confidential and proprietary information ("Confidential Information") to GLOBAL CC MEMBER. (Confidential Information is any information of any kind, nature, or description concerning any matters affecting or relating to GLOBAL CC MEMBER 's services for GLOBAL CC, the business or operations of GLOBAL CC, and/or the products, drawings, plans, processes, or other data of GLOBAL CC). Accordingly, to protect the GLOBAL CC Confidential Information that will be disclosed to GLOBAL CC MEMBER, the GLOBAL CC MEMBER agrees as follows.
    A. GLOBAL CC MEMBER will hold the Confidential Information received from GLOBAL CC in strict confidence and shall exercise a reasonable degree of care to prevent disclosure to others.
    B. GLOBAL CC MEMBER will not disclose or divulge either directly or indirectly the Confidential Information to others unless first authorized to do so in writing by GLOBAL CONVOY CONTROL MANAGEMENT.
    C. GLOBAL CC MEMBER will not reproduce the Confidential Information nor use this information commercially or for any purpose other than the performance of his/her duties for GLOBAL CC.
    D. GLOBAL CC MEMBER will, upon the request or upon termination of his/her relationship with GLOBAL CC, deliver to GLOBAL CC any drawings, notes, documents, equipment, and materials received from GLOBAL CC or originating from its activities for GLOBAL CC.
    E. GLOBAL CC shall have the sole right to determine the treatment of any information that is part or project specific received from GLOBAL CC MEMBER, including the right to keep the same as a trade secret, to use and disclose the same without prior patent applications, to file copyright registrations in its own name or to follow any other procedure as GLOBAL CC may deem appropriate.
    F. GLOBAL CC reserves the right to take disciplinary action, up to and including termination for violations of this agreement. "Immunity from Liability for Confidential Disclosure of a Trade Secret to the Government or in a Court Filing.
  • 1. Immunity-An individual shall not be held criminally or civilly liable under any federal or state trade secret law for the disclosure of a trade secret that-(A) is made-(i) in confidence to a federal, state or local government official, either directly or indirectly, or to an attorney; and (ii) solely for the purpose of reporting or investigating a suspected violation of law; or (B) is made in a complaint or other document filed in a lawsuit or other proceeding, if such filing is made under seal.
  • 2. Use of Trade Secret Information in Anti-Retaliation Lawsuit-An individual who files a lawsuit for retaliation by an employer for reporting a suspected violation of law may disclose the trade secret to the attorney of the individual and use the trade secret information in the court proceeding, if the individual-(A) files any document containing the trade secret under seal; and (B) does not disclose the trade secret, except pursuant to court order. GLOBAL CC MEMBER represents and warrants that it is not under any pre-existing obligations inconsistent with the provisions of this Agreement.
